Terms of Service & Liability Disclaimer

1. What BuildBridge Is

BuildBridge (operated by Narthex Construction Inc., Toronto, Ontario) is an online marketplace that connects homeowners and businesses ("Clients") with independent tradespeople ("Trades"). BuildBridge is a venue only — it is not a contractor, employer, agent, or party to any agreement between Clients and Trades.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms in full, are at least 18 years old, and that all information you provide is accurate.

3. No Liability for Work Performed

BuildBridge assumes NO responsibility or liability for:

• The quality, safety, completeness, or timeliness of any work performed by any Trade
• Any damage to property, personal injury, or financial loss arising from work arranged through BuildBridge
• Disputes between Clients and Trades regarding pricing, scope, payment, or satisfaction
• The accuracy of any Trade's claimed qualifications, licences, insurance, or WSIB coverage
• Any actions, omissions, negligence, or misconduct of any Trade or Client

The contract for work is solely between the Client and the Trade. BuildBridge is not a party to that contract.

4. Verification Disclaimer

"Verified" badges indicate a Trade has submitted documentation. BuildBridge does not guarantee authenticity, currency, or validity. Clients should independently verify all credentials.

5. No Responsibility for User Conduct & Behavior

BuildBridge has NO responsibility for the behavior, conduct, character, or actions of any user — whether a Trade or a Client — including but not limited to:

• How any Trade behaves on-site at a Client's property (professionalism, language, demeanor, punctuality, cleanliness, or any other conduct)
• How any Client behaves toward a Trade (payment disputes, unreasonable demands, harassment, or any other conduct)
• The personal character, background, or trustworthiness of any user — BuildBridge does not perform background checks, criminal record checks, or personal interviews
• Any theft, damage, injury, harassment, or misconduct by any user, on-site or otherwise

We cannot and do not confirm what kind of people our users are. BuildBridge is a digital introduction platform only. It is solely your responsibility to assess, vet, and decide whom you invite into your home or whose property you enter. If you have any concern about personal safety, contact local authorities — do not rely on BuildBridge.

6. Assumption of Risk

You use the platform at your own risk and are solely responsible for vetting, selecting, and supervising any Trade or Client.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BuildBridge, Narthex Construction Inc., and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the platform, any work performed through it, or any conduct of any user you interact with.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: BuildBridge's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $100 CAD if you paid nothing). BuildBridge shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. "As Is" Disclaimer

The platform is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.

10. Dispute Resolution

Governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Disputes resolved in Toronto, Ontario courts.
